I am certified by the American Quilters Society as a quilted textile appraiser and a member of the Professional Association of Appraisers-Quilted Textiles (PAAQT) since 2007. I have completed the extensive testing, instructional courses and certification testing on Insurance, Market and Donation appraisals taught by American Quilters Society appraiser certification program. I have also passed the AQB (Appraisal Qualifications Board) exam for USPAP (Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice). I attend and participate in continuing education classes and lectures pertaining to appraising, conservation, preservation and dating of textiles. I am one of the co-founders of WQSG, Wisconsin Quilt Study Group and am active in the organization of meetings, website information and retreat planning. I have also served on the Board of Directors of the WQI, Wisconsin Quilters, Inc., and am a quiltmaker and quilt collector.
